I am a corporate graphic designer, photographer, music junkie, and artist. The love, laughter, tears and intimacy I get to capture through the lens is exactly why I do what I do. It brings me endless joy and happiness. I believe everyone is blessed with a talent and it's whether or not you choose to use yours. I'm using mine to share with you...It's not about me, it's about YOU. You're my inspiration.

emory | newborn | nashville, tn photographer

I have to say in-home lifestyle newborn sessions are my FAVORITE. There is something so personal and special about spending time with the family in the comfort of their own home. I try my best to stay out of their way and let them just be a family…let them love on their new little one and capture those tender moments. As much as I love studio newborn sessions and using cute props, to me it just doesn’t capture the emotion I believe in-home lifestyle sessions do. Nothing is more personal than the backdrop of your own home, the baby’s nursery, and mom and dads room. Joe and Megan welcomed me into their home with open arms and I’m so grateful for it. Watching them love on their baby girl Emory and seeing how they interacted with each other truly gave me a glimpse of how wonderful they are. Emory is one lucky lady to have such wonderful and loving parents. Congratulations Joe and Megan on your beautiful baby girl Emory!

anya | bachelorette party session | nashville, tn photographer

When Anya’s maid of honor Christy contacted me about taking bachelorette party photos during their visit to Nashville I think I let out a big scream in excitement. Who wouldn’t want to spend the afternoon with a bachelorette party? Yup, my job is tough;). I had a absolute blast with the girls. They’re quite the fun group and man are they funny. I had to concentrate so I wouldn’t shake the camera laughing!  If you’re planning a bachelorette party in Nashville – contact me! What girl wouldn’t want a photo shoot with their best friends? Exactly.

mac & mae | twins | nashville, tn photographer

When I had the opportunity to photograph twins…I jumped on it! I’ve always wanted to photograph twins – it’s on every photographers “must do list” (if not, it should be)! Not only did I get the pleasure to photograph twins but probably the most adorable ones EVER. Those blue eyes and red hair melted my heart. Their mom Monique is as sweet as can be and so calm and gentle with them – it’s obvious she adores them to pieces. Enjoy their photos:)

katie & sean | engagement | nashville, tn photographer

Meet Katie: I grew up in a small town, Madeira, OH. I have an amazing Mother and Father and two older brothers and a brand new nephew, Tripp! I went to the University of Toledo for my undergraduate degree in exercise science. Upon graduating from there, I moved to Nashville, TN to attend Belmont University for graduate school. I am going to school to receive my doctorate in occupational therapy and I graduate in May. After I graduate I am hoping to be an occupational therapist for the pediatric population or acute care setting. I like to spend time with my friends, family, our dog (Macy), and try to be as active as possible. I enjoy being outdoors especially boating and love being on the beach. I am also very passionate and enjoy my profession.

Meet Sean: I grew up on the outskirts of Toledo, OH. My father was a factory worker at General Motors and my mother was mostly a stay at home mom. I am the oldest of three. I have a younger sister and brother, and my brother died at 8 months due to heart complications. I joined the Coast Guard Reserve in 2005 and was deployed for 8 months in 2008. I am an EMT-IV in the state of TN and have an associate’s degree in Applied Science and multiple certifications in Fire Science. I just started working for the city of Fairview 2 weeks ago as a Firefighter and love it. I love college football, motorsports, cooking, and pretty much anything that has to do with the outdoors.

How did you two meet? (from Katie…) Since Sean is from Toledo, OH, we met while I was attending college at the University of Toledo. On my first day of college, I met Seans cousin who just happened to be dorm roommates with my best friend from high school. When his cousin got to know me (maybe about two weeks into school). she told me that I just HAD to meet her cousin (Sean) because she knew we would hit it off. A couple weeks later she staged a run in with his cousin and his friends at a part for the Ohio State/Michigan football game. We immediately hit it off but there was one problem…he had a girlfriend and by this time I had a boyfriend. We tried to go on with our lives and try not to talk to each other, but one year later (when we were both single) he decided to call me and ask me out on a date to see the movie Beer Fest and dinner at Applebe’s (how romantic:), haha) I guess you could say it was meant to be:)

When did you start dating? (from Katie..) October 24, 2006 – It will be almost exactly 7 years from our wedding date that we will have been together. I remember this date perfectly because Sean made me a mixed CD of all the songs that reminded him of me/us and put it on the windshield of my car. On the CD he wrote “Will you be my girlfriend?” I proceeded to drive all the way to class without even noticing it. He had to call me and ask if I got it! Luckily it was still there when I left class:)

The proposal: November 25, 2011 at Rockefeller Center on the ice skating rink in New York City.

The big day: Cincinnati, OH on October 26, 2013.
